Antiracist Multicultural Education Network of Ontario
AMENO is a network of diverse educators, community members and parents in Ontario who are active in Antiracist Education. They work to eliminate broad-based and systemic biases, and to replace barriers with acceptance and inclusion for every individual. AMENO was founded in 1987. Its original members were school board staff responsible for implementing provincial anti-racism policies. Today teachers, parents and community leaders continue to call for inclusive environments and practices. Equity resources are still required. Students will always need help to understand the past and how it shapes their future.
